Heard nice reviews of dolcetto but checked prices on Uber eats and they are outrageously expensive.
Unless Uber eats adds a lot to the rates?
Can you get a simple meal for $35-$40 per person (no soup or dessert or extras) or no such thing?
Anywhere else better?

No not in a nice restaurant in monsey, a fast food place u can, the cheapest nice fleishig restaurant would be fireside I also think the food is the best. Sometimes my husband and I go just for appetizers (which are a whole meal) for example you can get a whole meat Pizza in that price range

Uber eats adds $2-$5 to each food item depending on the store.

For example:
A place I usually get breakfast for its $7.99 and Uber eats it’s $11.50

Once in a blue moon I’ll order from a meat restaurant and wings are $14 and u er eats it’s $18

A cheaper meat place shnitzel baguettes are $18 and Uber eats it’s $24

Mike's Burgers in Palisades Mall is nice. Very reasonable prices, delicious food and generous servings, good steaks, table service, nice atmosphere... One of our favorite places.

Mike's is the best price for a restaurant, but for $30-$40 per person, you need to go to a fast food place like kosher castle, KC, Mandarin.

I saw Dolcetto advertised a pre fix menu of 120 Per person. I think that's considered quite affordable for a nice night out- you get the full experience at a set price.

Thanks for sharing. that's a bit too much for us right now.

anything else that's nice and quiet and not too pricey? we've done Mike's burgers many times and looking for something similar.

May I assume that you spent more than $30-$40 per person?

Actually, it's very doable. Dh got a meat pizza and I got a deli stuffed pretzel (which was massive).
Both were 35.

(we decided to get nachos to share in addition, but totally didn't need it. didn't realize how large the pretzel would be).

There's a new place called churrasko, almost sure I spelled it right. It's more like a Mike burger style I hear. I didn't experience it yet.

They were massive!! And we are big eaters too lol!!

If we were rolling in dough maybe would have gone all out, but this worked within our budget.
