Lol. I baked challos, and asked my grandson 6yo to egg them.

I was scared to post that, maybe it's abuse but after your comment I think I'm safe, even on Imamother LOL LOL

Yes. I actually baked two batches today, two kilos each (equivalent to 10 lbs). One batch for my family and one batch for our chayalim. Hashem should continue to watch over them!

Wow you're amazing! Definitely a better 'segulah' then a shlissle challah!

You're right! I've changed it!

Reminds me of the joke I heard from someone who shuns segulas, according to her teshuva, tefilla and tzedaka are better then sugulos (don't want to get into the segula v davening debate now please).

She said 'Segula for a shidduch? Meet a boy.'

'Segula for parnosso? Get a job.'

My friend told me that she wanted to take off from work to bake schlissel challah. Her husband told her that it’s a better segula to go to work.

It's rising Smile
I used to bake every week but stopped during my last pregnancy over 2 years ago when I was pretty much laid up and I haven't gotten back into it yet

No option for I make once a month because that’s when it gets used up. Now it’s used up from before pesach so I made

I should change my vote, that's what I did (I voted I always make. I meant I always serve homemade Challah.)

I made a 5 lb. white batch and a smaller half spelt batch (4 cups flour in the bread machine).

I make challah every week! The only time I didn't it was last (pre-Pesach) week because I was sick to my stomach and couldn't stand the thought of cooking. That was a storebought challah and everything-else-too night.

I make every 2-3 weeks generally, always homemade. But since I have my bochurim home and chometz hungry kids I think the full 6 lbs might leave me 2 rolls in the freezer for future weeks and everything else will be polished off this week. Got to go make dips now....

Same but high school dd made for me Isru Chag while I went to work so I can’t take real credit. Usually we make on Sundays every few weeks or so, making Thursday night or Friday just doesn’t work for me.
