They are already big, 10, and 8. How do you handle? What if they don’t listen when you tell them to stop?

In anger? In play? Is it consistently one hurting the other?

What is the dynamic here?

I’d physically separate them and make them go to their rooms to take a break. Then when everyone is calm I’d sit down and discuss options for ways to work out disagreements that don’t involve being physical. Then either tell them what consequence they get for fighting or what reward they get for going x days without fighting.

Make an order of protection, they are not allowed to be in same room together.

One eats DR, the other kitchen

One plays in playroom, the other LR.

If they fight put both in timeout, don't try to judge, it just increases animosity.

Temporarily separate until they cool down.
Then reenact the scenario and teach skills in communication/negotiation. Practice.

This is *exactly* the shitta of Rav Avner Kavas, an expert in shlom bayit and chinuch yeladim.
On top of that he says one needs to establish rules in the house and one of them is no physical fighting.
Super nanny also establishes rules for the house hold in writing and explaining to all family members.

Following too.

My kids are 12 and 9 and its the younger one hurting the older one all the time.

If I physically step in, I get hurt.

Younger one has mild ASD, but this is so not normal.
Id rather get hurt myself then let my kids get hurt, but that is crazy!!

Send them both to boxing classes or krav maga or some sort of martial arts class so they can learn how to fight and get out their anger without hurting each other.
