WFH Israel (yom haatzmaut)

I work in Israel during US hours- do I take off Mon night or Tues night for yom haatzmaut- or does my employer decide?

Is your employer American or Israeli? In Israel its a national holiday, but an American employer might not care about that.

Do you get American national holidays off? I don't think you can expect it to work both ways.

I get off for public holidays in Israel.
Asking if my day off is Monday night or Tuesday night

I don't know, but arguably it could be both. I know in hospitals both evening shifts get double pay, the same as Friday night and Shabbos. Yom haAtzma'ut is the only national holiday that doesn't have a religious basis, but it still follows the same pattern. You probably need yo discuss ot with your boss.

We celebrate Monday night, we have a takes and then tfila chagigi and a party in shul. So I'd take off Monday night.
By Tuesday night we are finished our BBQ.
It depends on when you want to celebrate.
