what in the world does that mean?
My DD dress says wash gentle, no tide, color catcher. Why no tide? I use free and clear tide for all my laundry....

Tide is very harsh on dark colors, so it makes sense. I don't use it on something I want to keep black or navy or denim.

I’d recommend using woolier. I use that for all my delicate clothing

So which detergent do you recommend for dark colors?

In general, I use Persil. It's from the makers of Wisk.

For delicates like hand wash items (pantyhose, delicate sweater, a specific black cotton robe that tends to fade), I use Woolite in the white and pink bottle. Just a tiny bit needed especially if I am doing a specialty load with 1 item, or a load with a few pantyhose in net bags.

If you usually use Tide and have some dark items that you need to be careful with, Woolite makes a black and purple bottle meant specifically to retain dark colors.

Thanks. I have always used tide in the white bottle for dark colors and have never noticed a problem.

Cheer is a detergent for colored and dark clothes. It's supposed to prevent fading. The dark woolite I'd for delicate darks.
