Is your place hiring?

I work at a huge Hospital system. Without saying which it’s. The number one system in the city with numerous different locations. Given the size yes they’re always hiring.

Around 72k

Flex hours. I'm supposed to work full time but I'm really quick at what I do and usually finish early. On the flipside, before a deadline I'm up all night stressing.

So it's a tradeoff but since I have flexibility with the job I'd never leave.

DH is about to lose his job (company got bought out and they're starting layoffs this week). So that brings us a bunch of stress and uncertainty now... 🥺

Not this poster but I just wanted to reply here in case it helps anyone.
I work full time with yearly raises. I've been there for almost 4 years now. I make $66K. I work from home.
I don't think it's for everyone but I love it. I'm a homebody and an introvert. I like numbers and problem solving. I was trained in from nothing and think my salary is fair. Great PTO and a 401K.

I charge $50k a year for companies where I have a to devote more than an hour a day (I could do 4 hours one day and 1/2 hour the next). I’m responsible for the books completely. I do it for two companies from home

I have three freelancers I do the books for. They need maybe a few hours a month and I charge $40/hour for that. They are all friends, so I keep it at that price though I could probably charge more.

Would you do my bookkeeping too? I need a few hours a month too, maybe less.

75k - an administrator for a small non profit.
Job is flexible hours - but I am on call 24/6.
And if an emergency comes up - I am
Expected to take care of it.
Some days I put in 2-3 hours. Some days less and some more.

I’m really not sure if underpaid or not.

Approximately 120k, lCSW

I work about 18 hours a week for a clinic. I get some benefits from them, which is really nice.

I have a small private practice, about 6 hours a week.

I could make much more if I worked privately exclusively, but so far the clinic is making it worth my while to stay, and I'm weary of the headache and hassle of maintaining what would essentially be my own business. Maybe later on in life, when my little kids are grown a bit and I have more time to devote to it.

I love my work, it's so rewarding. The best part is that my hours are flexible, so I can always be home for my kids when I need to be. The other best part is my beautiful clients, who are such a source of inspiration to me. I work with incredible people.

My husband brings in about the same amount, but his hours are longer. I'm not going to state his job because it's an unusual one (for our community, Lakewood) which would make me recognizable. His work is pretty flexible too.

We spend carefully and save carefully, and we're doing ok. Much of our income gets eaten by tuition, tutoring, and an ongoing medical expense. I laugh when people here complain about rich therapists. It's a decent income, but we're far from rich.

I was going to post but then decided against it.

I will just say I earn beautifully (over 200k) but dh is currently unemployed after leaving at a toxic workplace. He was employed there for a very long time.

If I would've posted my salary without saying anything, people would've assumed we're earning tons (as people do in real life) when we're barely scraping by because I'm the sole breadwinner.

Similar idea different circumstances.
I bh earn a really nice salary my husband’s is objectively ok BUT we are always in court (crazy high legal fees) because of his crazy ex, plus we spend a ton of money on IVF
So point being salary isn’t everything dont be jealous its best when we stop looking at others!

Specialist in the arts, net around 90K -- about 55K for teaching in schools (for around 30 hours a week plus prep time), and 35K from private students (around 18 hrs a week). A little more for summer work.

A huge chunk of the private student income goes to taxes because DH income puts us in a higher bracket. So I get to keep maybe half of it.
