My 7mo BH loves to move around in the bath. She busily plays leaning forward, which makes rinsing her hair a challenge. I have tried tilting her head back with my hand, holding her up under the shower head, and holding something interesting above her head to try to get her to lean back by herself. All have failed and/or backfired. Today I was doing a cradle cap treatment and she moved while I was rinsing and it went right into her eyes. She screamed and flailed which made rinsing it out even MORE impossible - I had to just dump water right over her whole head to get the stuff out of her eyes. I felt horrible. She now starts a whimper whenever I touch her hair in the bath.
What can I do to avoid getting shampoo in her eyes?

They have visors for babies for this.. I saw it a few months ago..but I don’t remember where..

Maybe try using a baby bath with her in the leaning position.

That's exactly what we use... and she refuses to lean, just sits herself right up.

Wow. That would have sounded ridiculous to me before having kids, but here I am, the target consumer for such a product! I'll look it up. Thanks for the suggestion!

Try this. It's molds to the head as you pour tilting backwards.

My kids had something like this it seemed to work better than the visors.

I know your baby is a bit young, but what I do is teach them to look at mommy and it causes them to lean their head back. My babies all know to do it by the time they are 10-12 months.

At that age, I laid my baby down in the bath and then poured water for the front of their head.

I have this for my baby but she shakes her head and tries to move away from it so it still gets in her eyes, the visors look like a better option if your baby is like that

Order the visor linked above! It looks ridiculous but works wonders. I didn't check the link but came to share this tip. make sure to get one that had flappy ear covers as well so water doesn't get in baby's ears.
Baby only has to wear it while you shampoo so it's rlly only on for a few minutes
