JPOST: 10 Jewish hostages reportedly freed from Mumbai Chabad House
DAVID HOROVITZ, matthew wagner, and jpost.com staff , THE JERUSALEM POST
Ten Jewish hostages held by Islamic terrorists were released from the Chabad House in Mumbai on Thursday evening in an Indian commando operation, according to Indian television.
The condition and identities of the hostages were unclear.
The commando raid was continuing, however, with the remaining members of the five families taken hostage still being held by their captors.
Also, Channel 2 reported that one of the hostages was forced at gunpoint to call the Israeli Consulate in New Delhi with the captors' demand for the release of several Islamic terrorists from Indian jails.

They said 7 hostages were freed, only two of them foreigners. Some people must still be trapped there.

It says CNN is saying there was a strong explosion heard in the Chabad house... and that the eight people released/escaped might have come from a nearby building, not the Chabad house.
