I just want to say that the holtzberg's nanny was truly heroic, when she grabbed little moshe and ran out of the mumbai chabad house. she could have chosen to just flee and save herself, but she saved a jewish life too. she also continued to care for him until his grandparents arrived in india.
this is a righteous woman who deserves our thanks.

Maybe it was in the Holtzberg's merit. She was probably just a good person anyway, but the lengths she went through to save this boy, to hide him in a small room when she could have been discovered, something must have really inspired her with mesirus nefesh to save this boy. Maybe it was the light and joy of a yiddishe home where she worked that inspired her? Maybe the Holtzbergs inspired such love and admiration in her that she was willing to break all boundaries to save this child.

May G-d bless this woman! She did an awesome thing by saving this child. She may be a mother herself, or just a kind person who did not harm to come to him.

The family wants to bring her to Israel, because she's the only one who little Moishe has really bonded with at the moment. They are asking the govt to allow it, and I'm sure they will. The fact that she herself is prepared to leave her own country and family to stay with this little boy says a tremendous amount about her.

On this morning's news I already heard that the family had been given authorization to bring her, and Misrad haPnim was already processing the paperwork.

I am so glad to hear that...little moshe has been through so much, I read an article that he was crying out for his mommy and tatty...
at least this will be some shred of familiarity for him.
G-d bless sandra.

They are considering giving her 'righteous gentile' status which means she could live in Israel for an extended period of time. What a wonderful story to come from such a terrible situation.
