If someone lent something to you and it was stolen what would you do?

well how was it stolen? was it an irresponsibility on their part, or it was totaly out of their control?

if it was the latter, then what could you do? if they were irresponsible, meaning, they lent it out to someon else, or didnt take care of it, leaving it in public somehwere, then I would say try to have it replaced. Exclamation

I think she means the other way around. she borrowed something from someone and it got stolen. and now she doesnt know what to do.

If something gets damaged, Stolen or lost I would say you have to replace it.

original amother here, I lent something to someone and it was stolen from her possessions and she feels she doesnt have to pay for it or get a new one because it wasnt her fault.

that's not your problem what happen to it. when u lend something to someone they are responsible for it.
just a side note never lend something u want back.

Never lend her anything again. Shes absolutely 1000000%%%%%%%% responsible if she borrowed it from you. If you gave it to her on the condtions that she holds it FOR you because you're going away or whatever then she's not responsible.

You don't need the tsorrus of having a "friend" like this person. Obviously, she is not very conscientious and I'd hesitate to have a person in my life like that. I'd feel obligated to replace it if I were she...
