My neighbor babysits for me full time - Although she makes plenty $ off me since its alot of hours, I like to get her s/t extra for chanuka (not $). I don't think it needs to be expensive- but I like when it's s/t specifically for her (not a toy for the kids)
Any suggestions?
last year I got a gift certificate in peppermill- Although she thanked me I don't know if she really appreciated it. - she is a very simple chasidish woman that babysits a couple of kids in her house.

a nice salt shaker
a picture frame
if you're creative, a fancy thank you card
a door plaque
something that has to do with chanukah

thanks but its really not the type- she doesn't need a/t around her house...needs to be s/t personal for her - I would buy a perfume, but she doesn't wear makeup or perfume. I was thinking of a gift certificate in Eichlers or a new book- what do you pple say? any better suggestion?

Those sound like a nice idea. You know her, so you probably know better what she'd like.
