I've noticed a new trend (or maybe just never noticed before) people are excusing horrid behaviors with some light remark "oh that was a joke" DID YOU HEAR ME LAUGHING - try an apology instead

My DS (aged 12) does the same thing to me - and it's horrible!

He's a nice kid, really. He just tries the patience of a saint. In fact, I told him during the last Lebanon War that the IDF should use him as a secret weapon. If they dropped him on Hamas, he'd just annoy them to death!!!!
Never mind - he'll join the human race at some point. (And btw, I really love him to bits!)

Sorry green. I seem to be around people who don't even bother with the Sorry!

If it aint funny, it aint a joke - is what I always say when people try to excuse their rudeness with "It was just a joke" or "I was just kidding - can't you take a joke?"
