It did not change my life, but it did give me a very different perspective of landlords
Blighted: A Story of People, Politics, and an American Housing Miracle- Margaret Stagmeier
Written by a landlord about different pressures landlords of large housing complexes have and what such landlords owe to the community.

Spare the Child by Rabbi Yechiel Yaakovson (Parenting. It just makes so much sense)
You, Revealed by Rabbi Naftali Horowitz (Getting you into a success mindset)
The Surrendered Wife (The concepts work if applied correctly and in the right circumstances. Was very helpful for me, especially early on in my marriage)
Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin: The Inside Story, by Getzel Rubashkin. - My favorite part is the last chapter when he gets freed and his writings about concepts in life, about how Hashem is good etc.
Emunah with love and Chicken soup about Henny Machlis
The wonders of Gratitude and Stop crying etc. by Rabbi Shalom Arush
The Simcha of Marriage by Rochel Miller and Rebecca Allen

Definitely read the amazon description for a good synopsis:
https://www.amazon.com/You-Rev.....ss_tl
For me, personally I really internalized the sense that we each have our unique mission and that the sky's the limit from a Torah point of view with a lot of great sources. Also how to have Emunah/Bitachon, fullfillment, happiness in a business sense and in life.
He's a very inspiring person

I love this thread!
Dual Discovery--agreed this is one of the best books I've ever read. I bought the follow up one (about the churban) but am having a hard time getting through it.
A few others that I remember from over the years:
Tuesdays with Morrie
The Committed Life (Rebbetzin Jungreis)
The Surrendered Wife
I was also blown away by Nine out of Ten though I can't say it changed my life specifically.

The Connections Paradigm by Dr. David Rosmarin (frum Harvard professor). A framework for mental health and personal growth, written for a secular audience but based on the philosophy of Rav Wolbe zt"l.
The Power by Naomi Alderman (novel). Total paradigm shift in my understanding of gender roles. Putting it here because it did change my life, but I would absolutely not recommend this book for most frum people.

Keeping it vague to avoid spoilers, it's a science fiction novel where women develop greater physical strength than men. The author is essentially arguing that what we think are biological or innate characteristics might actually be the result of social conditioning or historical position. I can't in good conscience recommend that frum people read it, there's a ton of graphic violence, s*xual content, apikorsus, and worst of all feminism.
