my children have a hard time when reading non-jewish names. dd says Kath-RINE (rhymes with pine) for Kathryn.

I pronounced ma’am as mah,am. Read it aloud in class. Was mortified when teacher corrected me after a paragraph that included about 7 ma’am’s.
