I would check with the dr, I know that if he got chicken pox very young there is a small chance he can get it again. My dd had 1 pimple for about 3 days before the others started coming through, but I knew it was chicken pox as it was about a week after her sister had finished with it, so we were waiting for it.

can it be something else? My kids keep on having staph infection. Its like one pimple with a head. after a few days, it becomes red around & it hurts.

Happened to me and my nephew. For years my parents thought I never had chicken pox and then once I had titers drawn as an adult they told me that I got one spot at 18 mos old after having been around cousins that came down with chicken pox. Same scenario with my sister's son - just found out he has titers after having one spot when there was an outbreak at daycare. FTR, neither of us got it again, and have been exposed many times.

I would have a doctor look at it. It could very well be a pox.

My son had A pock- because he had the vaccine- but he got it anyway. No fever or discomfort or anything. Go to a doctor. But, if it is A pock- it is contagious. My 5 month old caught the full blown chicken pox from his one pock.

I had just one and we only realised when others caught it. FTR those who only got one should check to see if they're immune bc I'm not, if exposed during pregnancy it could be really dangerous.

I would wait a two before sending him back to gan. If this is not possible, please consult a doctor, who may say to make it possible, but may not, but at least you'll know you acted responsibly.
I had cp at a few months old, got it again; DD was ten months old the first time and got it again. It does happen.
Hatzlacha, and may whatever this be go down easily.
