besides the sand in babyfood jar candlesticks - did your child ever bring home from school or camp nice/creative candlesticks? I am looking for an idea to do with my kids - but we have enough sand ones!
thank you for your help!

I once bought the twistable ones. I got it chanukah time and made havdala candles. It's a sheet of wax and you wrap a string of wic around it. The only downside was that it was a very fast project, but we did use it 8) . You could just make a plain candle with dipping in parafin (sp?) if it's a one on one project.

one with cans
I wouldn't use wood because fire and wood don't mix.
In one of the books that I have, there is a glass cup decorated and filled with beads and another smaller glass cup inserted in the cup with beads. Understand?
Google how to make candle holder
