As I've waxed eloquently, I make the R.H. veggie and dip platter for shul and am on an endless quest for the perfect veggie combination.

I have no problem making a variety of dips, but help me witht he veggies.....which THREE do you like?

So far, I've seen very fresh mushrooms are popular, as well as the Holland peppers.

Thanks!

No one likes celery. !!!!!!!!!!!!

Truth be told, it’s a medium sized gathering, with fruit and other goodies, too, and not that many ladies eat the veggies. So, I make a very small platter, of just the most popualr stuff.

Another woman wants to contribute, and said she’d bring “other” veggies….she takeh brought celery a few times, then complained that no one ate it.

I, very nicely, told her that I’ve noticed that the "better stuff" goes, not the cheaper stuff, and that’s why I bring a very small platter of what people like.

A small pepper can cost $2 though!!!!!!!!!!

If it's a vegetable, I'll probably likeit! (even celery)
You can definitely add some cucumbers to your platter that goes well with dip! I usually also serve the flatbreads with this stuff...

I don't like celery either. Reason: You need to chew it forever and ever and it gets stuck in your teeth. Or I should say, my teeth. Can't speak for everyone.

I never thought of it as a cheap/expensive thing.

I love grape tomatoes, and mushrooms and cucumbers (kirby kind) are good too. You can cut the cukes in rounds to make it 'cooler' Smile
I also like peppers, but not green ones for dip. I know red and yellow are expensive, though.
I like Israeli pickles and radishes, but thats me!
Snap peas and snow peas are good too.

Chocolate coffee beans. That's TWO veggies: the cocoa bean and the coffee bean.

cucumber, corn and... errrr... artichoke?
I also like mushrooms and grape tomatoes. Carrot is not bad either, esp. with a nice dressing.
