This is delicious!!
2lb chopped meat
2 eggs
black pepper
garlic powder
1/4 c matza meal
Sauce:
1 1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c ketchup
1 x 16oz can tomato sauce
1 x can jellied cranberry sauce (don't use the one with whole cranberries!)
Make small meatballs, drop into the sauce (get it going to be well-mixed when the MB are ready to cook), boil & simmer covered for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
Easy & yummy! Enjoy!

So ladies...I'd love to hear what you say.

Now that we have these delicious recipes, what do you serve with these teeny tiny meatballs? I would love to make it for yom tov, but spaghetti isnt really a festive dish...

but, if you want to be fancy, maybe angel hair spaghetti or orzo?

I could just imagine the slurping sounds of my kids slurping up one spaghetti at a time... LOL. Maybe serving it on a bed of rice would be nice.

My recipe is almost identical to bubby's and I highly recommend.
It's a big hit each time, and FREEZES GREAT!
Package in containers with enough for a meal for your family.
Night before you need them- remove from freezer and allow to defrost on your counter.

here is my favorite version
Mix the following together for the meat mixture:
1 pound ground meat
3 cloves of garlic crushed (I use the frozen cubes)
1/3 cup of water
1/3 cup of breadcrumbs
1 tbsp onion soup mix
sauce:
1 & 3/4 cup water
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp soy sauce
3/4 cup brouwn sugar
Bring the saut to a boil and drop in the meatballs, cook on a low flame for about and hour.
enjoy

I think you can probably leave out the lowrys since the sauce itself has a lot of flavor.
I like meatballs with rice, orzo pasta or polenta underneath to soak up the sauce.

Here's mine -- a little unconventional:
Sauce:
1 jar chili sauce (can sub ketchup if you prefer)
16 oz. grape jam
1 (14 oz. can tomato sauce)
1½ c. water
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
¼ tsp. black pepper
Meat:
3 lb. ground beef (or dark ground turkey)
3 eggs, beaten (or 6 egg whites)
½ c. bread crumbs
½ c. water (¼ c. if using ground turkey)
Form meat mixture into small meatballs. Combine sauce ingredients in large pot, bring to boil, drop in meatballs. Lower flame to simmer and cook covered for 1½ hours (1 hour if using turkey).

For the sauce - marinara or tomato sauce, jellied cranberry sauce, 1 can sauerkraut and some brown sugar. for the meat - season w pepper, onion, egg, ketchup etc.
