step for man... a leap for mankind?
Something like that!
You're still quite far... my mother was only in high school!
How about asking about 9/11? I would hope everyone on here would remember that!

we were visiting friends of my grandparents. I remember that my parents sat us in front of the tv so we could watch it. I don't think I understood the big deal, though - I was in preschool!

I think the majority on this site weren't either. I was ten years too late for this one.

Another vote for not born yet. Almost... I was on the way, but not quite arrived yet.
BTW, there are those in the Jewish community who are of the opinion that the moon landing was faked.

I remember it ! Guess that makes me old.
I stayed up till 3 am to watch it live (in England) and had a friend stay over. All on a tiny BW TV
And it was really exciting. I was 13.

I was in high school in South Africa and we didn't have TV yet in the country, so we went to the University of Cape town where we watched in black and white in a big auditorium.
I remember it very well, because it was my first time EVER watching a TV set, live.
Who knows the three astronauts who were in the space module? and which one did NOT go to the moon???
Neil Armstrong
Buzz Aldrin

I was in utero. My mom tells me she watched it and I was kicking with excitement. Maybe that's why I'm such a space/sci-fi buff.
