There may be a lot of salt and preservatives in it. In the freezer section, pick up a package of plain fillets nd boil and flake a small piece for your baby instead.

The fish contains eggs.

Eggs are generally allowed by 9 months. But both fish and eggs are very allergic foods, so it might be better to try them one at a time.

I give it without problems, have with all my kids.
With my three year old, when he started solids, he would not eat practically anything, except when my sister fed him crumbled gefilte fish with her fingers!!

It really depends on the child. For one of my kids the fish and eggs were not problematic but the combination of preservatives, sugar and matzo meal made him rash out terribly. Most kids will be fine.
Also, maybe I'm the only one but for fear of mercury in fish, I never gave fish until age 1, and very little at that - just a taste. Only after age 2 did I really serve it as part of a meal.

I was told by my doctor with my most recent baby not to give fish and honey to babies under one year of age because of some kind of bacteria.

My son practically lived on gefilte fish. It was one of the only foods he would eat!

9 months is when yolks are usually ok, but not whites. also, the fish usually contains matza meal or wheat flour, which are not recommended until 12 months. I would wait a little while longer. (the issue with honey is that it has spores of something that's harmless in adults, but can Gd forbid be fatal in infants.)

My baby ADORED gefilte fish…she still does! I feed it to her all the time! (and she's half sephardic! LOL).
I don't see any issue with it. It is cooked. If you don't have a lot of allergies on either side of your family, I'd say go for it!
