Baked corn Dogs
a la a FB friend and Martha Stewart
(Interesting change from hot dog bun !!!)

pkge popsicle sticks, if desired
pkge hot dogs or sausages, any size (cocktail etc); pareve is OK too
1 1/2 cups flour
2/3 cup cornmeal
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp sugar
pepper to taste
2/3 cup milk or soymilk sub.
2 eggs
2 tsp oil

Boil or broil your hotdogs. Let cool.

In small bowl, combine your flour, meal, baking powder, sugar, pepper, liquid, eggs and oil. Dough will be stiff.

Insert sticks into hotdogs; you don't have to use the sticks. Lay out onto cookie sheet that was foiled.

Spoon dough over each hotdog. Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes or until done.

Why do you have to cook the hotdogs and then let them cool? They're cooked already, no?

Thank you for the recipe, I fondly remember corndogs in my youth, and I'd love to try them again!
