Please everyone take out your Tehilim now and say some tehillim for EY. For those Jews who are missing or injured. For those who have been evacuated from their homes and don't know if they will ever see their homes again. For those in places without electricity and/or water. For all the brave emergency crews risking their lives. For those who have gone to bed tonight and don't know if they will be woken up to evacuate them.

Beg Hashem to help us because even those who claim to be our "heads" cannot offer any solutions. They are pessimistic as the fire continues to spread and spread without control. Please daven and/or take on something small for Hashem to say Dai! to our problems.

And may we be zoche to a Chanuka miracle this year too k'yamim hahem bazman haze.

I really can hardly believe it - I just logged onto imamother and expected it to be full of information/ requests for Tehillim for the terrible tragedy going on in Northern EY. (I found two threads - one with 3 replies, one with none).

Can someone please find out who to call to offer lodging for a small evacuated family? The police tell me to call the fire department, and vice versa.

400 dead! so many! we have not heard about any of this in any other news in Europe. Hashem must be angry about something. What a tradgedy. May the families of the bereaved be comforted and the fire stopped.

Thanks for posting the Tehilim online. That makes it so people will just say it then and there and not be like "ok I'll get my tehillim and oh wait the baby's crying..." or get otherwise distracted.

What a tragedy. It looks like someone intentionally started this.

At this point they don't think this was intentional.

They said on TV that while they are not investigating the cause right now, the fire seems to have started in more than one spot which indicates arson; however they believe it's criminal rather than nationalistic motives.

A great tragedy in any event. Obviously, human lives are most important, but the serious damage to the entire ecosystem in the area will have ramifications for quite some time. Not to mention the people who will be losing their homes and possessions.

They don't expect the fire to be under control under at least Sunday.

I'll second Detroitmom in thanking Shalhevet for posting the Tehilim to make it easier for us.
