My favorite family dessert in South Africa
Servings: 15
Ingredients:
3 Eggs Separated
3 tsp Vanilla essence
3 TBS sugar (optional- in South Africa the cream is sugar free)
250 ml Pareve whipped cream
3-4 bags of tea biscuits chocolate or vanilla)
1 Cup strong coffee

Directions:
1.Beat egg whites (with sugar) till stiff
2.In another bowl Add vanilla to egg yolks. Beat with fork.
3.Fold yolks into egg whites.
4.In another bowl, beat the cream stiff.
5. Add whipped cream to egg mixture
6. Dip biscuits one by one into coffee, make a layer of them at the bottom of a
pan ( you could use a 9 by 13 foil pan or glass one-the glass one makes it look
pretty at the table) then make a layer of cream. Continue with the biscuits and then cream till the top. With this recipe you can make two pans.
7. Refrigerate until serving
Suggestion: It could be also in a pretty glass fruit bowl.

vanilla essence is vanilla extract- sorry I copied straight from my souith african cookbook, where we use different termonolgies sometimes.

about raw eggs, some people do have an issue with, so a friend of mine ( chanie_ if you read this maybe you could clarify) said you could try pareve pudding mix instead and it keeps the cream together. I ddint try it , but if someone wants to they could and let us know how it came out , cuz I dont dont make desserts or cakes anymore, cuz I do not want the temptations.
