ok he's not sooo skinny but still. he's not as chubby as he used to be. he isn't nursing as much as he used to - only 3 times a day. he refuses milk, juice, water, soy milk, almond milk, rice milk. refuses anything fattening. refuses cookies!!!! only wants brocoli, apple, oranges, brussel sprouts, very minimal chicken and meat, no fish. I'm going nuts. baruch hashem he only prefers the healthy stuff. but I really don't think he's getting enough calories/fat in his diet. I'd dousing his veggies in olive oil. what else can I do? I feel hopeless... also can we talk about breastmilk after 1 yr. my doctor says it has very little nutritional value. I have a hard time believing that! anyone have any hard facts about the caloric content of mommy's breasmilk after 1 yr?

Cook up a big pot of chicken soup with LOTS of veggies (squash, sweet potato, carrots, etc.) and chicken (add a lot of chicken bones if u want it fatty). When done cooking blend all vegetable and pieces of chicken together. Divide into small containers and u can freeze them. Gave them to my one year old for dinner almost every night! He loved it! Also, try giving him little pieces of bread with cottage cheese. Or avocado. Or u can try scrambled eggs... Sunny side up... Yogurt...The list is endless! Just keep experimenting. Also, keep retrying.. It takes at least 15 tries before kids start liking something new.(Read it in a parenting magazine.) Good luck!
