I want to try the cabbage soup from Jamie Gellers cookbook quick & kosher have everything but beefstew in the house. I cannot get out today to go tothe butcher I have veal stew in the freezer and turkey bones what would be better in this soup??TIA

I don't know the recipe, but I would use the veal stew because don't you want pieces of meat in it? Also, veal is closer to beef than turkey.

I'd opt for the veal, and to make it "beefier" (pun intended!), I'd brown the meat in the oven before adding it to the soup.
