Most of the family won't eat banana cake - and it will only use up 4 bananas max.

I was thinking of trying fried bananas with a Pesach blintz batter - any suggestions here?

Any other ideas of how to finish off the quantities of bananas I have?

Worst comes to worst I'll freeze them, but then they're not the same defrosted I know.

TIA!

Smoothies?

I freeze them and make banana cake. My kids actually like banana sponge cake. Very Happy

They seem to go from green to over ripe overnight.

By smoothies you mean with milk? I don't have a Pesach blender, only a pareve food processer. Perhaps I can mash them in the processer and then beat them with milk with a mixer. Hmm...

The hot weather before the holiday in Israel meant we had those too. You can peel them and freeze them in the right quantities for after the holiday in cake, muffins, etc. We made smoothies. If they are not too brown you could make fruit salad--refrigerate until then. Or banana pancakes with matza meal and eggs?

Cut them into chunks, melt some chocolate, dip the banana pieces and then freeze.

Not worth getting the processor dirty. Mash a bit with a fork in the mixer bowl, then add the milk. Or crush ice in the processor with the banana, and add the milk afterward. Although adding cold milk won't make your processor milchig, not everyone is comfortable with that.

Banana ice cream, but again, you're only getting rid of a few at a time. I stick some in the fridge where even if they go black, inside remains firm and white.
I'm also wondering how to make milk shake with only pareve equipment. I can blend the bananas with my stick, but then what?! Try frothing milk and bananas with a fork?

Sounds good! You then serve it as a dessert like those "Minies" ice creams and eat it with your fingers?

Great idea! I don't feel comfortable using my food processer with milk, because it will probably splash all over. I also could probably make milk smoothies with frozen bananas after Pesach, they'll just be a little brown, right?

YUM!

I tried some out already - yes it was an easy, no-fuss (and no mess) treat!
I'll make a bunch more tomorrow for a Shabbos dessert.

Thanks to you all for your suggestions. Believe me, I have enough bananas to try all of the suggestions here Very Happy

Fruit leather.

Blend bananas (or any ripe fruit)
If necessary add a little lemon juice.
Spread on clear plastic wrap on a cookie sheet in an oven turned to the absolute lowest temperature,
or in a dehydrator.
This will take from several hours to overnight.

You can also slice ripe bananas and dry them. They taste like banana candies.

Plastic in the oven? Is that safe?
