Cant have green vegetables (broccoli spinach or similar- cauliflower, etc- a guest hates those).

Im thinking to do meatballs one day, and stuffed peppers another.

Anyone know the recipe for the sweet and sour sauce for meatballs (equal parts of whole berry cranberry sauce and tomato something?)?

Any other ideas for appetizers?

this is from spice and spirit:

1 cup (8 oz. can) jellied cranberry sauce
3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice

Combine one 16 oz. can cranberry sauce (we like the jellied better than the whole berry) with one 28 oz. jar marinara sauce.

you can do equal tomato and cranberry sauce thats how my mom does my dh preffers 2 part tomato sauce to 1 part cranberry sauce. Another nice appitizer is doughless knishes you can stick a mini hotdog in it to be different
1 onion
4 Tbsp oil
4 potatoes or sweet potatoes, peeled and cooked
2 eggs
7.5 Tbsp potato starch (instead of 3/4 cup flour aka 12 Tbsp flour)
salt and pepper to taste
1 more egg, for egg wash

Sauce an onion until soft in 4 Tbsp oil.
Cook up potatoes/sweet potatoes; mash. Add eggs, potato starch (flour), salt and pepper; mix well.
Spray cookie sheet very well with cooking spray. Scoop out potato mixture (with an ice cream scooper) to form little puffs on onto cookie sheet.
Brush / smear top of puffs with egg.
Bake uncovered at 400 for about 1 hour( I found it baked less)
mini shepperds pie or a small piece of a big one, blintze, meatballs browned with sauted veggies no sauce served plain or over potato.

Cocktail meatballs, mini kebabs on skewers or you can fill mushroom caps with meatballs and bake in an oven. Or stuffed courgettes/peppers/small aubergine.
