My pleasure.
No it is a large cake pan or you can make 4 of those English cake pans (the long rectangle ones).

Here's one from Levana's Table. You put it in a bundt, tube or springform pan:
3 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups plus 3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
4 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tbsp vanilla
1 cup apple cider or apricot juice
for the strudel
1/2 cup flour
2 tbsp margarine
2 tbsp sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl and set aside, Mix the 3 tbsp suggar and the cinnamon in small bowl and set aside. In a food processor, combine the 1 1/2 cups sugar with the eggs and process until light and fluffy. Add the oil and vanilla and process until just combined. Beginning and ending with the dry ingredients, add the flour mixture in thirds, alternating with the juice. Pulse 2-3 times after each addition, just to incorporate.
Pour half the batter into a greased 10-inch pan. sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top of the batter. Pour the second half of the batter evenly over the cinnamon sugar. (I would double the cinnamon sugar, though, having made this before)
To make the streusel: In a small bowl, mix the flour, margarine and sugar lightly together until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle this over the cake batter.
Bake for about 1 hour or until a knife inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Invert the cake onto a rack and turn right side up so the topping doesn't fall off.

If I halve this, can I make it in a 9x13?

Probably, but I would decrease the bake time and check on it with a toothpick because I don't think it will be as tall.

In the kitchen, is this a coffee crumb cake, or a vanilla crumb cake? I'd like to try it.
chanahlady, have you tried making Levana's cake with oil instead of margarine?
TIA all!

Mine is similar to In the Kitchen's (but uses margarine and oil):
Crumb Cake
Ingredients
• 4 cups flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 ½ sticks margarine
• 1 TBSP vanilla sugar or extract
• ½ cup oil
• 4 eggs
• 1 cup orange juice
• 1 pinch cinnamon
• 4 tsp baking powder mixed with 3 tsp flour
Directions
• Pre-heat oven to 350
• Cream first five ingredients. Reserve 1 cup of this mixture for the crumb topping. Add remaining ingredients and pour into tube pan or a 9x13 aluminum tin. Sprinkle with crumb mixture and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

I haven't tried that -- I usually use Smart Balance.

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say thanks. Dug up this thread today looking for a nice plain pareve coffee cake that I could pour over some cut-up in-season strawberries. This cake is totally easy and SO perfect - thanks!!!
