My 19 month old toddler is not walking yet!!!! She started receiving physical therapy at 12 months since she wasn't crawling or pulling herself up to stand. B'h she started crawling at 14 months old. However, she is now 19 months old and is only walking holding on to her walker or furniture. She stands up in middle of the room on her own but only for like 2 minutes and then plops down!!!!! The summer is here and I'm not looking forward to dealing with a crawling toddler especially since I'll be outdoors alot!!!!!!!!!! Her therapist thinks it's more behavioral and claims that she'll walk on her own when she's good and ready. How much longer could I hold out!!! I also have a newborn to take care of and it's hard to deal with a crawling toddler, especially when my neighbors 12 month old babies are walking already!!!!!I'm going NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any suggestions??

My son didn't walk until 22 months. He would crawl around everywhere and he was a huge eater, so I had to carry him a lot of the time and he was close to 30lbs. I also had a 2 year old and 3 year old to attend to. It was a nightmare.
Then, about 3 days after he finally!!!!!!!!!!!! started walking, he attempted to walk down stairs and ended up in a cast for 4 weeks - which meant he was back to crawling. I thought he would never walk alone!
I can definitely sympathize with you - hope your toddler starts walking soon!

Don't worry about it. My daughter was 26 months before she walked properly ! She used to shuffle everywhere on her bottom and she could talk before she could walk. I remember asking her why she didn't walk and she answered that she was scared she would fall. She is now 34 years old with 6 children and all of then have walked much earlier than their mother did.

Yup, wait. The twins walked at 16 months (totally Min Ha Shamiam, dont' know how I could have dealt with THREE immobile babies). Avraham Tzvi didn't walk until about 21 months or so, and then didn't walk well until a bit after that.
Soon she'll be running away from you and yo uwill wonder how you can deal with a running off toddler and a new baby

one of mine didn't walk until six weeks before her second birthday, when her younger brother was just starting to crawl.
Your DD is showing all the signs of getting ready to walk independently, so I really wouldn't worry.
