I'm at my wits end with all the searching & getting information & being turned off from so many playgroups around here. Can anyone help me?

not more than 15-18 kids per 2 Morahs.
Warm environment
Well run
organized
A place that will care for my kid more than for her money

I dont care if its legal or not. Ive checked out legal daycare & OMG!!!!!!!

TIA

its very late at this point to get into a good playgroup.

in the future, you should apply around purim time in most playgroups, and around chanukah time in the super-popular playgroups.

you specifically want Boro Park, not Flatbush? Then I am going to assume you want your child in a Yiddish environment.

I have phone numbers to a bunch of different paygroups from when I was researching playgroups, but I need to find my notebook. Will try to post later tonight IY"H.

morah agi
51 st playgroup
machanayim playgroup
morah nechama

torah times, weekly link...

I disagree with you in terms of legal or not. they do have some sort of level that they need to reach in order to be legal.

you can still get in anywhere, I made so many calls today....

there will be pros and cons everywhere.
hatzlacha, and much nachas

I would suggest Shem Tov playgroup as they meet all your criteria. I doubt that they have room though.

they are awesome and they do have openings but the price is outrageous. They want 450 plus transportation. She told me they prefer voucher applicants.

Morah Agi too huge & chaotic. can you give me more details on the other places?

I would pop in a few times during the day to check out to see what is really going on before sending to any playgroup. There is a new one opening-nice place with new toys and great morahs. They are on 60th between 18 and 19. Not expensive either.

I popped in there one day, wanted to check out the place for my son. It was a disaster scene. The place is very dim. It was 90 degress and the air conditioner was barely running. There were over 40 tots running around and 3 teachers trying to juggle the scene. I was also surprised to see someone leave the place and the door remained wide open. How exactly is a teacher that is controlling 20 other tots while 4 of them are having potty accidents sipposed to make sure no one escapes the door????

I also know they are very unsupportive with potty training (for obvious reasons) that is why I dont care about legal playgroups. To me this situation is illegal!!!

Personally I wouldn't send to a playgroup,
I would rather send to a pre nursery that's run by a school,
and there's someone on top of the teachers.

Like someone before said, it's loud and chaotic. Some people like it, some don't.
I think it's better for the 3 year old age group. Not 2 year olds.

depending on what age your child is, there's someone on Parkville Ave. that's doing ages 18-24 months and only takes 5-6 kids. it's a neighbor and is very gentle with kids. her number is 347-719-1537
