My five-year-old loves to play in sand but isn't keen on washing his hands. It's mostly a "rinse and go" if I'm not there making sure he uses soap and cleans properly. All of my hand towels have a greyish area from where he wiped his hands and I can't seem to get it out. The same with light colored socks. Bleach doesn't do the trick.
Any ideas?

That sounds snarky.
It isn't.
Light-color towels will eventually get those dark "cow tracks" even when used exclusively by pathologically fastidious germophobe adults, because the towels rub off dead skin cells and oils that get ground into the fibers and don't come out without powerful chemicals available only to commercial and institutional laundries.
Do yourself a favor.
Buy a few cheap, dark hand towels and put them within dc's easy reach.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. Haven't had time to go on the computer. Keeping busy
So there is no hope for the white towels I already have? I will take your advise and get ds his own towel. It will hopefully make him feel like a big boy
Thanks for your advise!

I will try soaking them in bleach one more time and if that doesn't work I'll replace them.
