Has anyone ever been to a Chanukas Habayis that can tell me what it was like. I've never been to one but will be making one shortly. Thanks.

We had one when we moved into our apartment, and we also didn't know what to do!
Most people we invited had not heard of it. We ended up having some food, cakes, drinks, and DH put up the last mezuza.

We had one when we moved into our apartment, it was very small, just family. We had some tea and cakes and put up mezuzas and my husbands grandfather read something I guess from the siddur but I'm not sure what exactly.
I guess it was basically a housewarming so everyone could see our home all set up.
