I am posting this for a friend
Does anyone know where my friend can get a plus size gown for her wedding?
We are looking for gemachs in Boro Park, Flatbush, Crown Heights, Williamsburg or Lakewood
Please dont just list every gemach you know. Only list gemachs that have something in large sizes.
I think she is a size 20 or 1x.

You might have more luck sewing up a new gown and then sell it to a rental place.

I have a custom light blue gown around a size 20/22. I'm 5'8" with a small chest and most of my weight around my midsection. PM if you want pics.

If your friend can't find one at a gemach maybe she can try one of the mormon wedding dress websites. They make modest wedding dresses (which are available in large sizes) and I saw some in the $200 - $300 range. When one of my friends got married several years ago she had issues finding a tznius wedding dress and ended up ordering one from one of those places. It was beautiful, fit her perfectly (no tailoring needed) and she ended up adding some beading work on it to make it fancier; it was a stunning dress. I'm not sure which website my friend ordered from, but I just did a quick google search a found a few dresses, maybe this may help your friend if she can't find anything at the gemach.
Some ideas:
$215 + $50 (if size 18+)

$230 + $50 (if size 18+)

We ordered this gown for my daughter, but it needed quite a bit of work to make tznius:http://www.romanticgowns.com/collection/product-page.asp?SKU=3014
And this is what it looked like after our seamstress got a hold of it:
Here's another gown we almost ordered... all it needs is long sleeves, which the company can do for you:http://www.romanticgowns.com/collection/product-page.asp?SKU=Barbara

I used a gemach in Monsey. Gorgeous plus size gown. Dry cleaner told me it was 7 or 8 thousand dollar gown. You can get name of gemachs from.Front Page. They had a couple.
