I typed a post and was horrified to find a "typo" after it was submitted. Any way to retrieve it and correct the error before it goes out to everyone? (I know I should proofread before submitting, but...)

If your post is under your own username and not amother, just click on the "edit" button on the right hand side (where it says quote usually) and edit it.

Like groisamomma said except if someone quoted you before you fixed it, you can't change it in their post.

Thanks for the info. I never realized...now I do...maybe I'll post more often with my username...
Another related question...on the subject line, it tells how many characters are left...many times I follow the rules but still get cut off mid-sentence. Why is that?
