My 9 yr old ds just grew a few inches overnight! His (newish) pants still fit him but they are just a bit short. I had them hemmed in September . So I opened the hem and now I have a whitish line.
How do I get rid of the line or do just chuck the pants and go out and buy new ones?

The whitish line is signs of fading at the fold. They rarely go away. But as he is only nine and growing fast, I personally would let him wear them anyway. Unless its for a simcha-then I would get him a new pair.

What shanie said. Though I would dust off the old permanent felt-tip marker in a matching color and color in the white line. Too bad he's not a girl, then you could sew or iron a strip of decorative braid right over the line.
