DH bought lots of pasta (cause it's so cheap) and I want to use it as a side dish. I've recently made sesame noodles and he wasn't crazy over it. He actually asked me not to make it again for a while because I made it twice in one week and it's an intense specific flavor.
So what other ideas are there?
I have spiral noodles, penne, and elbows. I am off dairy due to breastfeeding so no pasta and cheese ideas. And my DH isnt too into vegtables either so I can't make something that derives it's flavor from a very vegetable based sauce.
Is this hopeless?

toss with pesto and sundried tomatoes

or crushed garlic, parsley flakes, olive oil, s&p

serve with meat sauce or sloppy joes

add to soups

make cabbage and noodles

(if you used the fishbein sesame noodles recipe, let me suggest that next time you only use a few shakes of toasted sesame oil. not the 1/4, 1/3 or 1/2 cup that the recipe calls for (don't remember how much the recipe calls for, but it way too much!)

chop lots of garlic really small (don't use a garlic press). fry up the garlic in lots of oil until garlic pieces are soft and light brown. Pour it all over the pasta and mix so all pasta is coated and has the garlic flavor. Add some salt.

Tear up some parsley leaves, mix in.

I recently made a pasta salad from family first that was very good. The ingredients are pasta (I used penne), chick peas, thin strips of pepper, olives, and half moons of raw zucchini. You can omit or sub to your taste. The dressing was olive oil, vinegar, crushed garlic, salt, pepper, and mustard powder. It came together quickly and was very tasty. It can be a light lunch or a side.

Do you like pesto? It doesn't need to have cheese in it. I make mine parve.

There is a delicious and easy recipe in a new cookbook that I got, it involves pasta and wild rice blend mixed together and baked. Let me know if this would interest you and I will post.
