How do you keep them fresh?
My 5-year-old towels never smell fresh anymore, even though we wash them in hot water. What to do?

Wash them with vinegar, it helps remove smells. Your laundry wont smell like vinegar, don't worry.
You could also use baking soda - Just add either of them (not sure if you should do both) to your detergent and you will see results
I like to put vinegar in my loads every couple of washes to break down the hard water deposits in the machine.
Let us know if it helped.

Baking soda and vinegar, lol! Sounds like a great science experiment for kids
I'll try one at a time and hopefully will remember to post how it goes.
Thanks!
Any other tow tips, ladies?

Try washing them without detergent to see if there is a detergent build up causing the smell. Also, the sun is great for getting out smells. Try hanging them to dry outside in the sun and see if that helps.
