When should babies typically start batting at their toys? My first did it at about 3 months. My second is now 4 months and still doesn't try to reach out at the toys. When do babies usually do this?

Every child is different. That is very important to keep in mind. I think its generally about 3-5 months tho. (at least according to my weekly emails)

Around three- 3.5 months is the norm. Wait a few weeks and meanwhile try to interest her in thetoys. Hold him/her and dangle a toy in front of her and wait. You can move it to touch her hands and see if she goes for it.
