I've got lots of apples, however running out of sugar. So I thought I'd just bake them. SHould I peel them or not? Bake whole or cut up? In a sauce?

The recipe I use for baked apples all year is from Second Helpings Please:
Baked Apples in Tinfoil
6 apples
2 tsp. brown sugar per apple
cinnamon, if desired.
Wash and core apples. Place each on a 12" square of tinfoil. Fill centres with brown sugar. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Lift foil up around apples, and twist tightly closed, leaving some airspace on top. Bake at 400 degrees for
35 to 40 minutes. 6 servings.
You don't have to use 6 apples. It could be as many as you want. I also seem to remember that my mother used to put raisins in the apples too, but I tend not to do that. Also, I don't necessarily use tinfoil. I use a baking pan and cover with tinfoil.
