Love my Coffee a strong one in the morning and I many times have one some point between lunch and kids come home from school. I find the afternoon cup gives me more koach to get things done in the evening and I end up getting more done. I also have more koach for the kids when they come home from school I would love to break my morning coffee and keep the Pm one.

The last day of Pesach I did not eat the meat for lunch as I wanted to be able to have a coffee with milk to give me koach to change over the kitchen that night back to chometz.

One a day. Freshly ground, french pressed or espresso. If I am not careful my coffee intake goes up and up and then I have to wean myself down to one again.

I drink 1 in the morning after I settle my students down to free play (about 10:30).
When I come home I have a second. And often I have a third right b4 supper, or closer to midnight, or both.

No caffeine for me. Normal sleep at night is too important for me to mess with it. And I don't like the feeling of craving or "needing" it.

ETA: no decaf either - coffee gives me indigestion. I do like coffee-flavored foods, though. And coffee cake. Luuuuuv coffee cake LOL

Looove a good cup of steaming coffee! I put 1 as my answer, but when I was working and especially in the winter I`d have another or a decaf at around 2 or 3 pm. Once I got pregnant again, I tried not to have a second cup, but I definitely can`t go without my morning cup (except the first trimester of pregnancy when the very smell makes me nauseous Sad). There is NOTHING like a nice mug of coffee first thing in the morning... Ahhh, bliss Smile

It never tastes as good as it does 1st thing in the morning. I'm currently at 2 k kups in the morning and often a decaf in the afternoon.

I generally drink 2 coffees a day.

I never skip a cup of coffee in the morning -- I feel very groggy and out of it until coffee.

Sometimes I skip my afternoon cup - depends on my mood.

my mil lives on cake and coffee. she is ALWAYS holding a coffee cup in her hands. no matter where she is. and her house is full of coffee cups on every single shelf. lol. she makes herself a cup of coffee, goes into the room to do something and forgets about it. leaves, makes another one cuz she can't remember where she put the last one and then goes into another room and puts it down to do something else, finishes what she wanted to do and goes for another cup cuz she didn't finish it and forgot where she put it.....
that's why I really tried and turned my whole schedule around so I wouldn't be so dependent on the morning caffeine. I do not want to do this when I'm her age...

Hmm...is it possible all that coffee is affecting her memory? Wink

Depends on the day. Normally 2-3 cups+ 4 cups of diet coke / other caffeinated beverage.

3-4 cups a day.
Now that the latest research has shown that coffee has health benefits, I don't drink any more than before, but I don't feel guilty about it!

me too - I'm amazed that I'm not in the minority here, that almost 50% don't drink their daily cuppa at all.

No coffee. I'm "addicted" to plain hot water, though. Minimum three cups a day.
Once in a blue moon I'll have a hot chocolate.

An average of two cups a day. One when I first wake up, and one usually in the afternoon when I start losing steam. Sometimes I'll have another one in between as well. Or an ice coffee if I'm out and about.

About the headaches - 2 things -
1) If you're addicted to caffeine then the withdrawal from it would cause a headache
2) Caffeine can make a headache go away. Something to do with what it does to the blood vessels in the head...I forget what.

I have about one a week, when I feel that I need it. (I didn't vote as my option wasn't there.)

Caffeine is a vascular constrictor... it causes blood vessels to close in. Many headache medicines have caffeine added for that reason.

There is good evidence that cutting out caffeine helps women when they are trying to conceive. It's the same principle... that the bloodflow to your reproductive organs is reduced by constricted blood vessels and so the organs don't work as well as they should. There is also anecdotal evidence that men suffering from ED may see an improvement when they cut out caffeine.
