Need quick supper advice please....

I would like to put up supper this morning, because I will be out all day. I want to use my crockpot. I have frozen prepared meatballs, but no potatoes.
can I put in the crockpot meatballs and brown rice, and if yes, how do I do it? do I put the rice in now, how much water etc...
