I am looking for a hebrew (not yiddish) name that means something along the lines of Chaya (which I won't use because of the "ch" sound in the name.
Typically I like girls names that end in an "A" but not exclusively. Also we usually give a double name
my list of names I like is:
Talya
Avital
Eliana
Nina
Yakira
Rafaella
Dahlia
Naava
Naama
Tamar
Tehila
Hadassa
Ahuva
But I can't get a good name together and DH hates most my choices... any ideas for me?
anon because I don't want ppl to know I'm having a girl!

a bit of a stretch, but Aviva means spring, which is a time of renewal, new life, etc. - and it's a lot like "viva" which is the Latin word for life...

You say not Yiddish but you list Nina, so Ladino is fine? Then Vida and Vita are very often associated with Chaya in the Sefardic world.
