I have a couple shabbos skirts that would go very nice with a white top (summer weight).

I do not wear long sleeve shells under short sleeves so I would need a 3/4 or full sleeve.

I would prefer not a jacket or blazer, more of a knit top or blouse. Also nothing to tight or with designs that emphasize the bust.

I am a size 8 in tops generally.

If anyone knows of any sites I can try or can even send me a link to a specific top please do Smile

Thanks!

Do you wear sleeveless over a shell (like a vest)?

This is if you prefer long sleeve:

I personally need a petite as these tops would be too long I think...
The first link (sleeveless) is also in the petite section, as well as these:

I have the long sleeve shirt, and its a pretty hefty fabric. I wouldn't wear it in summer.

Have your tried Coldwater Creek?

I especially like this one:

I have a major problem with white lightweight tops though...it's hardly ever thick enough not to be see through in my experience Sad

Another sleeveless top. (can you clarify if you'd wear it?)
Also this one's not really white. it's alabaster but I thought it was pretty anyways Smile and it may be good too.

This one looks like it might be too tight at the bust, but sometimes they're pulled to the back and pinned for the picture.

I love those Target shirts. Do those kind of ruffle shirts with a v-neck look good with a shell underneath?
They probably look better tucked in, though...I doubt I'll be able to do that any time soon Sad

something like this
http://www1.macys.com/shop/pro.....%3D20
still requires a shell but the outer layer is thin enough that it shouldn't matter

From what I've seen, these shirts look good even with a shell underneath. I like that long sleeved ruffled shirt too. Especially in the maroon and blue.

Thanks! Those are the colors I'm thinking of getting. I can always bring them back to Target...just have to figure out sizing wise. They'll probably be too long on me Sad

I find with sleeveless tops it depends on the top. Sometimes it can have the same effect as a short sleeve top over a long sleeve shell. Sometimes its ok tho. But then I have the problem of finding a good long sleeve shell- namely one that is not to tight in the arms but it also not to big in the collar. If I get a larger sized shell so its not very fitted on the arm then the collar is often to low for me.

Thanks for all the links and ideas so far. some may work for me. I do need it to be mamish white since one skirt is white with some blue and purple flowers stitched on. one skirt is navy with white polka dots and one skirt is kind of a snake skin look (tho diff but splotchy in a similar way) with black, grey and white splotches.

and tunics dont tend to work for me. they are either to big on top or fit fine on top but then cant fit over my hips.
