At what age is the ideal time to introduce an infant to cow's milk? I remember being told that it used to be 12 months but it's now recommended to wait until 18 months. Anyone know the reasons behind this? Is there any contraindication to introducing cow's milk at 12 months when the child is currently getting his milk from cow based formula?

my daughter never received formula, which you wrote is dried cow milk. After I couldnt feed her anymore she drank goats milk and I started giving her cow milk at 12 months. My daughter bh is happy, alive and healthy:). Shes 20 months old now. Here they say that its the best to start from 12-18 months about. So you can start at 12 months, I know people who start even earlier.
