We, have a wedding comin up soon and I was hoping to get some names of places in Boro park/Flatbush where I can rent a gown/dress for my 2 year olds.

What's your price range and what do rentals usually cost? I wonder if renting is worth it.

I once needed a gown for dd quickly and didn't have time to shop around at the malls. Didn't want to buy online as dd was tiny and it needed to look just right. So I just rented one locally. It made sense for me.

There are stores that carry for small sizes (I don't know "tiny" Smile

). I know that sometimes it is worth it but maybe OP doesn't know that she can get a dress for $65 (may need a shell) *in Brooklyn* that she can get more use out of.

wow $65 to rent? for a 2 year old in so small everything looks cute. If anyone wants you can have mine royal blue and black yummy dress for $25! I can email a pictuer.

I prefer not to spend $65 on 2 kids even if I own it -When exactly will they wear a gown again?
I was hoping not to spend more than $40, if possible.

none of the rentals are under $40,
I' m pretty sure they start at around $65 for kids taht age and also cost for alterations (hem...)

actually some of the gemach's here charge that much and the gowns aren't in good condition at all

if you have access to a car there's an amazing gemach in Far rockaway with gorgeous gowns
you give an $18 donation to a shul, and the gowns come cleaned, if it's a jumper she gives you a shell with it and she gives petticoats
the lady is extremely nice and pleasant to deal with and she has a huge variety

the only down side is they must be returned by 11:00 morning after wedding
