What are the costs of living in these areas? How much is a house, tuition? Is there a job market for ppl without a college degree? Were also considering moving to america.
OP- just curious as to your reasons for wanting to make yeridah?

OP posted 3 years ago and has most likely made her decision by now and isn't like to be following this thread, so it's probably better to start a new thread with more details about your individual situation and what you're looking for in a community.

Just wondering does your DH have a degree? Either way South Bend, In maybe a great choice for your young family. They have a small Torah community that is growing each year. In South Bend you can get a 3 bedroom home for around 100k and there are State Tuition Vouchers for the South Bend Hebrew Day School. We have two shuls, an Eruv, Mikvah, Kosher Store and Bais Yaakov High School of Indiana. A vast majority of the families are young families with children and they even have a woman by the name of Mrs. Michall Goldman that helps people find jobs! Mrs. Goldman can be reached at michallgoldman@gmail.com. You can also check out www.cdisouthbend.com to learn more about the community.

Good luck!
