My parents want to buy a gift for ds who will turn 3 this week I'h, problem is they give me the money & I have to go out & buy something. Ds is a type of kid who doesn't really play with toys. He is my oldest boy so I'm not really sure what this age boy plays with. I have a million girls toys dolls, dollhouses, dressups, lego, blocks, clicks, art, you name it I probably have it. One thing I see ds enjoy is taking apart & putting back things like flashlights etc. He can do this multiple times a day without getting bored. He also enjoys putting things into other things like little menchies into cars, connect 4 pieces into the board etc
Can anyone recommend a toy that he will enjoy more than 5 minutes? My budget is anything up to $100.

How about a train set? You can put the tracks together in lots of different ways, and have fun moving the trains around on them.
There are loads of other cool building toys, too. Things with magnets, kits for Lego transformers, simple kids for putting together an electric circuit. With his interests, he may like puzzles, too.
