Good morning ladies, I must share this great recipe with you.
I made it for Shabbos .It literally took me 5 min. to prepare and everyone loved it!
Mix all ingredients (I did with a hand-mixes, but you can mix with a spoon)
Apple Chocolate Chip Cake
1 Cup Canola oil
1+1/2 Cups Sugar
1+ 2/3 Cups Flour
1/2 t. Cinnamon
1 t. Baking powder
1 t. Baking soda
2 Large Eggs
4 Green apples peeled & grated
1 cup (or less)Choc Chips
Mix all, pour into 2 loaf pans and bake on 350 for about 50 minutes until toothpick comes out dry.
Bon apetito!

It's sounds really Yummy!
BTW, did you grate the apples by hand? or did you put them through the Food-Processor?

How did it take 5 minutes if you did it by hand? I don't have a food processor yet (it's on the way. . . ) and I HATE making any recipes that call for grating, b/c it takes forever to do it by hand.

I agree - sounds great - but the apples make it more than 5 minutes! does it take like an apple pie or what?

Apples definitely take more than 5 minutes to peel, core, and slice. Grating takes even longer, especially by hand.
The recipe sounds delicious - but I really doubt it took 5 minutes. Even Duncan Hines cakes take around 5 minutes and that's without all that apple peeling.

Maybe she meant 5 minutes from the time the apples were already in the bowl.... (peeled, cored and grated).

Maybe it took ten or eleven minutes but seemed quicker - apples definately make it more detailed.
I made a rainbow cake for shabbos - was fun to eat but takes a bit of time. and now it's gone, gone, gone...

Batya'le Dear,
Hashem should bless Am-Israel with women like you.
Some just like to complain ,find mistakes ,give speeches, find the negative and this is what keeps them going.
But some-beautiful ppl like you say thank you and go vayter.
And to all of you that doubt it..it DID take 5 minutes!

I also love to bake with apples. I have figured out how to prepare them quickly as well.
First, use the largest apples you can find. Peel them. Instead of quartering them and then coring them, simply cut the fruit off the core and then slice them or drop them down the chute of your food processor to slice. (although I find it faster to just slice by hand. You need a good sharp chefs knife). It literally takes me less than a minute per apple that way.

It's 3 or 4 layered cake- red, yellow & green with jelly in between each layer & chocolate on top & s/x's on bottom.
each layer is like a thin sponge cake, with I think jello to make it diff colors
at least that's how my mom used to make it

And I under-baked mine and it was gooey, and the chocolate chips were too big (I should’ve used mini) so it was too much and It made me nauseas. The kids took care of it though, there wasn’t a crumb left 8 minutes later.
