Hi everyone,
I'm a SEIT and I am usually in schools, but my student is off this week so I am looking for some ideas to do in the home. He is Jewish but not religious, and I don't know his Kashrus levels. He loves food and eating and I would love to do a food activity with him, but it can't involve any heating up of food- stovetop or baking. He needs to work on waiting turns, focusing on a task, following directions, etc, so it can be a bit complicated- like, more so than a pb&j, if you know what I mean. Does anyone have any suggestions of activities to do, or a website I could find things like this?
Thanks!

How about peanut chews if he isn't allergic to peanut butter, but that u need a stove for, u could do it in an aluminum pan ( disposable ) so u dont have to worry about the pots
You could also do rice crispier treats with marshmallow fluff
Or how about preparing any cake or cookie and giving it to the parent to bake

Try this website:
http://www.sproutonline.com/cr.....er=30
you can search for recipes based on Breakfast, Snack, Lunch/Dinner, as well as by Preparation Time.
I just made celery-race-cars with my 3 year old today. He had fun being creative figuring out how to attach wheels, and then eating them too.

My kids love it when we have many different fruits/ vegetables and they can make a picture on their plate. They then enjoy eating it. We have made palm trees with bananas, kiwis, etc.

Mychildren like "ants on a log", celery sticks with peanut butter and raisins on top. If you can't use peanut butter, you might try cream cheese instead (my daughter had this at her peanut-free school and liked it even better).

My son's school does an activity like this for each child's birthday.
For my son's birthday, I did Make-your-own-Sundae. No baking, just all different ice cream flavors with every topping I could think of. It was a lot of learning - which flavor you want first, what order you want the toppings, different textures, the syrup should go last if you want it on everything, etc.
