My husband has requested a savory dessert for Shabbat. I find it a bit of an oxymoron, but I'm willing to try to accommodate him. Any ideas as to what I can make? We'll be doing dairy meals, so no need to keep things parve.

I've had cheese borekas that were savory. I didn't like them, but maybe he would.

a cheese pairing like cheddar cheese and apple slices or brie with jam, alternatively parmesan popcorn would work.

What about serving chocolate that has sea salt or chiles in it? Alternatively, some people enjoy vanilla ice cream served with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of kosher salt on top.

Hmm...would poached spiced pears work? Naturally sweet but you can put cinnamon stick and cloves into the wine bath?
